چکیده
Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by persistent, severe itch and firm nodules on the extremities trunk. The immunophenotype of PN thought to involve multiple immune axes, with varying cutaneous blood involvement T-helper (Th) responses, including Th1, Th2, Th17, Th22 cytokines. Here, we investigated role Th2-related cytokines IL-13, IL-4, IL-5 along panel proteomic mediators systemic inflammation in PN. Ultra-sensitive immunoassays measured circulating levels 29 plasma samples patients 18 control from healthy patients. All were recruited Johns Hopkins Itch Center. Additionally, periostin immunoglobulin (Ig)E 92 O-link assay used assess changes additional protein biomarkers. IL-13 was significantly elevated patient 4-fold increase (p=0.0008). IgE, not elevated. Several markers relative controls (1.47, p=0.012), CUB domain-containing 1 (CDCP1; 1.68, p=0.0002), chemokine ligand 7 (CCL7; 1.57, p=0.0009), tumor necrosis factor (TNF; 1.44, p=0.02), 9 (CXCL9; 1.48, p=0.03). In conclusion, are increased Targeting may be an appropriate therapeutic approach
